I first drank in these premises in the late 70's when it was called
Langfords Club
The Landlord was Henry Orford (his middle name was Langford)
This club was notable for it's display of model aircraft.
When Henry retired the club went through variuos changes,and was in chronological order

until May 1993 when it opened as theChurchill Club
with Bryan Mullarney as the licensee

An old Dereham character who I spent many hours talking to about memories of Dereham and in particular the old pubs. What a pity I did not record our conversations because he's gone now and taken his memories with him.
