The Old Red Lion

The current resident of the Old Red Lion informs me that the building dates from the 1690's and that it was significantly extended when it opened as a pub in the 1790's. Strictly speaking it was an ale house as it had no bar and beer was served from jugs, this remained so until Bullards closed it in 1952.
